Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 9, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how the mobile game Tick ("Tick," "we," "us," or "our") handles information. By using Tick, you agree to this policy.

In short: Tick does not require an account, and we do not collect or sell your personal information. Your game progress is stored on your device. We show ads through Google AdMob, which may use a device identifier for advertising.

Information We Collect

Information you don't give us

Tick has no sign-up and no login. We do not ask for your name, email, or any personal profile information to play.

Stored on your device

Your progress, level, coins, chips, unlocked items, and settings, is saved locally on your device. We do not upload or store this information on our servers.

Information collected by third parties

Some features rely on third-party services that may collect information under their own privacy policies:

  • Google AdMob (advertising): Tick displays ads via Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, AdMob may access a device advertising identifier and related technical data (such as device type, general location derived from IP, and ad interactions). If you have not granted tracking permission, ads are shown in a non-personalized way. See Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses information.
  • Apple Game Center (online/nearby play): If you play online or nearby, Apple's Game Center manages matchmaking and your player identity. This is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
  • Apple (in-app purchases): Purchases such as "Remove Ads" are processed by Apple. We never receive or store your payment details.

App Tracking Transparency

On first launch you may be asked whether Tick can track you for advertising. Your choice is respected: if you decline, you'll still see ads, but they will be non-personalized. You can change this anytime in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

How Information Is Used

  • To run the game and save your progress on your device.
  • To display ads (personalized only with your permission).
  • To enable optional online and nearby multiplayer through Apple's services.
  • To process optional in-app purchases through Apple.

Data Sharing and Sale

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share information with third parties except as needed for the services described above (advertising, Apple Game Center, and Apple's purchase system), each acting under its own privacy policy.

Children's Privacy

Tick is rated 13+ and is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information through a third-party service, please contact us and we will help address it.

Your Choices

  • Limit ad tracking via your device's App Tracking Transparency and advertising settings.
  • Remove ads through the one-time in-app purchase.
  • Delete all locally stored data at any time by deleting the app.

Data Retention

Because your game data is stored on your device, it remains until you delete the app or reset your progress. We do not retain personal data on our own servers.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "Last updated" date.
